Mommy and Campbell visit H-Town!

Kyle was gone for the weekend, so Campbell and I went to visit Aunt Kiki for a girls weekend in Houston. We had a great time!! We got their Thursday night. Campbell and I spent the day at Christy's apartment by the pool on Friday while she worked, and then we went for an evening run and dinner. Saturday we spent shopping for Mommy and Kiki's trip to Vegas. We had lunch at The Rainforest Cafe, which Campbell especially enjoyed. After the mall, we met Grandma and Papa for dinner. We had a great weekend!!

After LOTS of discussions between Matt and I as to what would be best for Shelby, we decided we wanted to find her a new home where she would receive the attention and affection that she deserves. We have always kept her as an inside dog, and with three kiddos now, we have a houseful and little attention to share with her. She is SUCH a sweet dog, and we never want to lose touch with her. We were really hoping to find someone that we knew well and felt comfortable with. In a round about way, Christy and Kyle decided that they very much wanted to keep Shelby. We were so thrilled that she would still be with our family and that we would be able to see her often and stay in touch to know that she is doing well. This trip to Houston was bitter-sweet. After a wonderful visit with Christy, it was time for Campbell and I to say goodbye to Shelby. We left her at her new home in Houston. Thank you Shelby for all the joy you have brought to Matt and I and our family. We love you so much!
